Pastor's Blog - October 2011

Dear Family of God,

Greetings; and peace and grace from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today as I write I am thinking of what Paul said to the Romans he helped oversee. In
Romans 1:9-12, there are three specific themes I want to draw to your attention:

“...without ceasing I mention you in my prayers...”
“...if by any means I may be with you...”
“...that I may impart to you a spiritual gift...”

This truly is my heart toward each of you presently. I pray the Lord will allow me to present you
to Him perfect, that He will establish you in His righteousness, complete you in His will, furnish
you completely in His work, working in you that which is pleasing unto Him.

I am so grateful that He has allowed me to be with you!

Gathering, we are ready to embark on our most exciting journey!

All will be whole!
All will be healed!
All will prosper in the Lord!
All will please the Lord!

The Holy Spirit has promised to complete the work Jesus began and we are His children coming
to the fullness of His Glory.

This is the time for impartations, spiritual gifts. God is not tight fisted. Reach to Him and receive. Call down from His throne your portion. No longer will the adversary have victory.

The Curse has been broken!

Let us reflect shortly on our difficulty and meditate long and hard on our victory and the spoils
Jesus obtained for our possession.

God has given to us all things pertaining to life and godliness in Christ Jesus!

Bless you, my family - be strong in the Lord and the power of His might!

Your servant,

Pastor's Blog - July 2011

Dear Family of God,

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Mighty Lord and Savior, who has blessed us with all Spiritual Blessings and His Glorious Presence as well!

Well summer is now upon us with warm long days, our children are happy to be released from school for a short while and hopefully we can all have a vacation this summer and enjoy a break from our labors.

Please don’t forget about Family Camp at Lake Lopez near Pismo Beach. Camping, BBQ’s, fishing, boating, a time of great fellowship and growing in God’s love.

The Gathering has planned Summer Fun Days for our children this month: VBS, July 22nd and 23rd at Renaissance Church, and July 24th at Raney Intermediate.

The new sanctuary is coming along well and we hope to occupy by August. Please keep the permit process in your prayers.

We love you all and continue to look forward with great anticipation to God’s amazing work here at The Gathering. Your ongoing support of God’s vision and your faithfulness to His plans are truly a blessing to see.

Have a great summer!

Watch the heat and don’t get burned!

Your  Pastors,

Ken and Tonja Peters

Pastor's Blog - June 2011

Dearest Family in Christ Jesus,

As you are aware, we have moved!

Sometimes change and moving can bring uncertainty and a possible sense of the fear of the unknown…but let me remind you all of the greatness of our God:

Nearly four years ago we landed at 1901 W. Ontario Avenue, exactly as the prophetic word of the Lord stated to us, “I’ve got something for you and there will be an interim place.  The Lord says you surely will remodel it and retrofit it and you will add great value for the days ahead, but the Lord said, what I really have for you is something custom…for I have called you to possess the land.”

Another prophet, Shawn Bolz, declared he saw us in a concrete “tilt-up” building, beside a major freeway, with a large sign…

We have moved into two beautiful buildings just off the 15 and 91 freeways!

These properties were built in 2007, and the building for our new church home has never been inhabited!  The Lord has been holding it just for The Gathering!  Several churches have attempted to occupy, but God had it for us!!

The offices are directly across a wonderful courtyard with a beautiful water fountain, where we can have fellowship and enjoy each other’s friendship.

The owners are working to make it possible for us to purchase the properties as well.
We can grow here, we will occupy NEW facilities, and next to us is a 9000 square foot
building waiting for our faith to reach up and possess it!

Let’s grab the Lord’s excitement for our next steps and get ready for His best for your life.

Thanks for your support and love for His work and Kingdom,

Pastor Ken

Pastor's Blog - April 2011

Dear Family of God,
Greetings and I pray that the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ is filling your hearts and directing your steps. As I write this month, I am sitting in an airplane returning from Coatzacoalcos, Mexico. A team of ten church members (Randy and Denise Jones, Dan and Michelle Rowland, Gil and Liz Ramirez, David Marmolejo, Jeremy Lawson, Alan Spitalnick, and myself) answered the call of the Lord to share the good news with all nations. And may I say that the Lord truly revealed himself through the Holy Spirit in many mighty ways!
We taught over 40 pastors and over 400 saints how to hear the voice of God. It was so amazing to see how the Lord spoke to His people, bringing healing, freedom, hope and encouragement to nearly every person. You would be pleased with your fellow members who ministered so powerfully in Mexico with signs and such loving compassion. Truly the Lord was in that place!
David was allowed to preach on radio and in another church with several team members contributing as well. God allowed us to win the hearts of the city pastors, who had previously been wounded by false spirited prophets.
Our friendship with Pastor Chava and Zachie was blessed by heavenly unity! The financial seed you sow to Mexico is producing powerful results. One business man, Luis, pays over forty workers to evangelize the city with two cars and loud speakers. Many have been saved and miracles are occurring when they pray for people on the streets!
Soon, Gathering, we will be reaching Corona! Get ready for some powerful works of the Lord…
Your Servant,
Pastor Ken

Pastor's Blog - February 2011

Dear Family of God,

Can you believe it is already February of 2011?  It is amazing how quickly time is passing along!

Before we get too far along this New Year, I would like to remind us of a few points regarding what the Lord has prophesied about 2011:

-          A year where My children will grow closer to Me.
-          A year where My children will become more victorious in every dimension of their lives: well being, families, work of their hands, and pursuit of godliness!
-          I will meet with My children often in this New Year and in special ways!
-          Visitations bringing new purpose and new life!
-          Change will occur for many of us; don’t dread the change!
-          I will be well satisfied with many of you, because your growth and surrender to My ways will be evident.
-          For some, a year of instruction and tutoring.
-          Some will learn of the ways of faith.
-          I am asking you to put away distractions of this world.
-          I will reveal My strong arm against those who lead others astray.
-          My children, I want you to put all your trust in Me.  Trust My greatness and the strength of My Name!
-          Do not put your trust in the systems of men, governments of men, financial institutions of men nor the counsel of men.
-          My holy Word, holy Son and Holy Spirit will direct your steps and show you the path!
-          My children, learn the path of repentance, a broken and contrite heart.
-          Don’t allow evil to diminish My Word; My Word is truth!

God has given us some tremendous promises regarding 2011.  Let’s really seek His ways and gain understanding about these directives and how we can apply them to ourselves individually.

I know in doing so we will find the favor and blessing of God and His great presence as well!

January Pastor's Blog

Dear Family of God,

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones!

While waiting on the Lord, I heard in my spirit, “The Lord will remove the leaven so that we experience more of Heaven in 2011.”

Family, I am so excited about the New Year and the opportunities the Lord will present to each of us!

Eleven is a significant number in God’s scheme of things:
-    Joseph was the eleventh son of Jacob and he was the one who judged the other eleven sons.
-    False religion was destroyed in the eleventh year of King Zedekiah when Israel was carried away to Babylon.
-    Eleven curtains covering the ark in the tabernacle.
-    Moses spoke to Israel to leave the wilderness journey in the eleventh month of the fortieth year.
-    Delilah was given eleven hundred pieces of silver to destroy Samson.
-    Eleven disciples were faithful to Jesus.
-    Jesus showed us that the eleventh hour laborer in the field was the most important laborer who judged the other workers in the field, because of God’s goodness to all of them.

The number eleven runs throughout the scriptures and puts an accent mark upon God’s desire for this present generation and what He is planning to do in the New Year 2011.

I encourage you to study this number out before the Lord; seek for His understanding in the matter.  But most of all, let’s enter into 2011 with great faith and expectation of God’s amazing works to be seen and experienced by us, His people.

Happy New Year,

Pastors Ken and Tonja

December Pastor's Blog

Dear Family in Christ,

What a tremendous November we experienced with the Lord Jesus Christ!  Teams of missionaries spreading the Gospel in Central America, guest ministers speaking into our youth’s lives and prophets declaring God’s future goals for The Gathering and us individually.

Again, might I say we have so much to be thankful for: I encourage you to get the recordings of the services to hear again what the Lord is promising to each of us.

Family, we must continue to place our seeing and hearing upon God and His Word.  The world is consistently filling the airwaves with its negative reports and yes, some of it is true!

However, we are standing on God’s promises; He has declared a future and a hope an expected end!

Good and not evil, surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives.

As we celebrate the joyous time of the incarnation, God becoming man, better known as Christmas, let us remember that Emmanuel, God, is with us!

There is a certain sense of sentiment with the baby Jesus story and yes we should Praise God for the birth through the virgin; but let us first realize the ultimate purpose of this birth or the reason for the season.

God with us!
Men reconciled with God.
Peace on earth because of this reconciliation.
Good will to all men who receive Him!

Then we shout, “Glory to God in the highest!”

Family, celebrate in the Spirit with thanksgiving your reconciliation, and enjoy the good will God has given to you!

Bless you and your families as well,

Pastors Ken and Tonja
